Insulators Local 131 is dedicated to providing its signatory contractors with the highest-skilled and best-trained workers in the industry. This begins with training at Heat and Frost Training Centre, which offers an excellent four-year apprenticeship program that is second to none.

Why Insulate?

Our Trades

Union insulators are trained and skilled at a multitude of construction trades including but not limited to mechanical insulation, firestopping, asbestos and lead mitigation or abatement, sound attenuation and specialty fabrications required in custom mechanical insulation installations.

Code of Conduct

Professional Craftsman Code of Conduct (PCCC) is a program to promote jobsite excellence and customer satisfaction. The goal of the PCCC is a job built on time, under budget, and built right the first time.

WHAT IS ORGANIZING?

‘Organizing” is the term used when referring to a group of workers that are debating on forming a union. There are various reasons an industry group might look into a forming a union. This could range from improving working conditions to earning the proper wages and benefits they deserve. Every work environment should be held to certain regulations, but sadly many are not.
